Seth Coppens

Seth Coppens (he/them) is a nonbinary playwright, actor, and aspiring director. They are proud to be making their stage management debut with Theater Alaska. This summer, Seth performed at the Cincy Fringe Festival in Julie Coppens’ The Stork Files: Tales of Adoption, Abortion, and Having No Choice. He also graduated from the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, where he majored in Creative Writing. Last summer, he served as Perseverance Theatre’s Playwriting Apprentice for the STAR program where he wrote a full-length adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. His acting credits include Our Town, To Kill A Mockingbird, and several Young Company productions with Perseverance Theatre. This fall, he is going to Carnegie Mellon University to pursue a Directing BFA. Their goal as a theatre artist is to bring trans and nonbinary creatives to the spotlight, and to amplify marginalized voices.
