Auditions for A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens

Theater Alaska is holding auditions at McPhetres Hall (415 Fourth Street) for adult and youth/child actors for its upcoming production of A Christmas Carol on Saturday, October 19 (12pm-4pm) and Sunday, October 20 (6pm-9pm). To set up an audition time, please contact flordelino@theateralaska.org.

All actors in the ensemble will play multiple roles. We are currently looking for two adult male actors and two adult female actors. Additionally, we are casting three teen actors to play the roles of Martha Cratchit, Peter Cratchit, and Belinda Cratchit, as well as two actors to play the roles of David Cratchit (age 8-10) and Tiny Tim (age 6-8). Teen/Child actors will be double cast and all will play multiple roles. Sides from the script will be provided in advance for the audition. The ability to sing or play an instrument is a plus.

Rehearsals for A Christmas Carol begin on November 5, and the show runs from November 30 to December 22.

Performances will be held at several locations around Juneau, including McPhetres Hall, Mendenhall Valley Public Library, Juneau Pioneer Home, Riverview Senior Living, Thunder Mountain Middle School, and Juneau Douglas High School. Performances for schools will be during the day.

The production is directed by Theater Alaska Producing Artistic Director Flordelino Lagundino. Music direction by Misuri Smyth, sound design and compositions by Matt Otto, and assistant direction by Donnie Gott.
