Roblin Gray Davis

Roblin Gray Davis is an actor, director, and life-long Alaskan theatre maker pursuing innovational and original physical theatre, mask performance, and puppetry. He is a recognized Teaching Artist with the Alaska State Council on the Arts and Juneau Arts and Humanities Council and was a founding member of Strange Attractor, an ensemble devising company. Performance credits include Indecent (Perseverance Theatre); Macbeth (Theater Alaska); Sans Everything (in collaboration with Lightning Rod Special at FringeArts, Philadelphia); the world premiere of Battles of Fire and Water (Perseverance Theatre); and the Alaska Tour of How I Learned to Drive (Perseverance Theatre); Directing credits include Blue Ticket (The Blue Ticket Project, Juneau); Eurydice, On the Razzle, and Fry Tales (Perseverance Theatre), and Baba Yaga (Tears of Joy Puppet Theater) Portland, OR). Roblin holds an M.F.A. in Actor Created Theatre from Naropa University in association with the London International School of Performing Arts, holds a Certificate from the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, and a B.A. from Western Washington University, Fairhaven College. He has studied theatrical mask and movement in the tradition of Jacques Lecoq with Giovanni Fusetti, Aitor Basauri, Phillipe Gaulier, Amy Russell, Ronlin Foreman, Thomas Prattki, Sue Morrison, Kevin Kulkhe, Daniel Stein, Corrine Soum and Steven Wasson.
