Fee: Free
Location: Shuká Hít (Clan House) at Sealaska Heritage Institute

Writer Frank Henry Kaash Katasse will lead a workshop specifically designed for Alaska Native writers and artists to delve into writing for performance. Katasse will guide participants in writing exercises and offer guided instruction.
For some, Groundwork may be their first step in writing for performance. We are committed to providing a safe space for growth, as well as a pathway to professional work through the shared knowledge of the instructors and leadership at Theater Alaska. Ultimately, the goal of the Alaska Writers Workshop and Groundwork is to build a strong community of writers who write stories from their heart.
The Alaska Theater Festival is supported in part by the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council and the City and Borough of Juneau.
PARTICIPATION
Participation in the Groundwork workshop on June 10, 2022 is free and open to Alaska Native writers. If you would like to participate, please email Flordelino Lagundino at flordelino@theateralaska.org.
