Caitlin O’Meally
Caitlin O'Meally burst onto the scene after college with conviction that her future would be filled with wild performance art and political theatre in New York City. Today, she finds herself as a passionate herbalist immersed in the Alaskan wilderness, accompanied by her feline entourage who often double as her most enthusiastic audience. Truly, she is thrilled for the opportunity to perform Henry V for actual people. With degrees in Theatre, Opera Performance, and Women’s Studies from Muhlenberg College, along with training in clowning and physical theatre (commedia dell'arte) in Arezzo, Italy, Caitlin made her way to Juneau in 2012 to work with Perseverance Theatre. Some of her favorite projects in Juneau include My Body No Choice, a collaborative performance between Arena Stage and Perseverance Theatre, and the World Premiere of Sisters of White Chapel by Annie Bartholomew with Theatre Alaska. Her regional experience spans notable venues like Two River Theatre, Paper Mill Playhouse, Strand Theatre, Culture Project, and Civic Theatre. After many rewarding years of constant travel for performance art and political theatre, Caitlin loved finally learning that life, itself, is a stage, and sometimes that stage is just a cozy cabin in the woods with a cat on her lap and a cup of chamomile tea in hand.
